The film is set in the distant future in rural America, where a family is trying to piece together a series of unfortunate events. The show can be funny, and Steve Martin brings many laughs playing Seymour as he navigates his Little Shop of Horrors. It’s a great monster movie for anyone who wants something a little lighter.

Director Guillermo del Toro wanted to pay homage to Kaiju films with Pacific Rim and did just that. When Kaiju monsters rose from the sea, they brought the war with them, and now everyone must try to figure out how to stop the Kaiju. Humanity is on the edge of defeat in Pacific Rim, and hope lies in only an ex-pilot and his trainee. If you’re looking for all the action with a monster movie, this is it.
